Ella Dick is a black
Illustrator and Comic Artist based in New Jersey. She has graduated at the
School of Visual Arts (2022) with her BFA in Illustration. In her art, she looks for a sense of nostalgia and storytelling
when creating her work. She works digitally and finds inspiration in books,
anime, pop culture and fashion. In middle school, she won the first art award her school offered and gotten free classes at a local art school that
transported her love for art and her career forward.
While Ella
reads manga in her free time, her characters are roller blading on Saturn’s rings and having tea parties with animals. Her work is graphic, line art based,
reflecting a part of herself that can only be displayed in her illustrations.
Centering around children’s and young adult publishing and loves to use the
color pink.
